Courtenay Gebhardt

Chair, Workforce Development Task Force: Seattle Wood Tech Center TAC

Courtenay Gebhardt founded Blue Sound Construction, an 18-person remodeling firm in Seattle, Washington, with her husband, Ben, in 2006.

In 2018, she founded Stewards of Craft, a not-yet-nonprofit organization of one, established to advance the trades via upskilling, education and social gatherings. In both capacities, she is an active member of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties’ Remodelers Council.

She is current co-chair of the Technical Advisory Committee for Seattle Central College’s Wood Technology Center, Vice Chair of Building Industry Association of Washington’s Workforce Development Taskforce, and serves on the Advisory Board for Construction Center of Excellence.

She holds a BA and MA in English Literature from the University of Washington.
